About This Piece

This squat little cat charm began with a stray in my neighbourhood who spends winter afternoons curled up in a patch of sun downstairs, round, quiet and a little stubborn. Around the same time, a cat who had been with me for many years passed away, and I wanted a small, gentle way to keep him with me beyond just photos. So this chubby, sun-sitting pose became the base for a tiny soft portrait: each charm starts from the same micro crochet body, then I add your cat’s markings, colours and expression from the photos you send. It’s meant to feel like your own sun-warmed cat in miniature, light enough to clip onto keys, tote bags or pet carriers so they can quietly stay with you in everyday life, whether your cat is at home on the sofa or only in your memories now.
